Spring is indeed in the air in various parts of Australia. Of course, if you happen to be in Melbourne it seems spring it is in the air for a day.. then it's not.. then it is.. and so on. But we are used that that, right Melburnians?

In any case, when the warmer weather truly does arrive our palates seem to adjust accordingly. What could be more refreshing on a gorgeously warm Saturday afternoon than an ice cream?

Fresh fruit sorbet, that's what.

Not only do you lose the dairy (absolutely necessary if you have an allergy or intolerance) and the refined sugar (which we all know we should be avoiding), you gain all the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants contained in your glorious freshly frozen fruit. And we still get the refreshing cool kick!

Fresh fruit sorbets are also great sneaky way to get extra goodness into children's diets. They look appetising and really do taste amazing.

And they are so easy to make with MOD! All you need to do is choose your favourite frozen fruit (larger bits chopped prior to freezing) and run it through Mod with the sorbet strainer! You can either buy already frozen fruit (we always go organic) or freeze your own when seasonal fruits are abundant. Great choices are mango, banana and berries, but you can really experiment with anything.
