Best Juicing Foods for Arthritis
One of the most nutritious juice ingredients is spinach. Its high vitamin K content makes it a great inflammation fighter, not to mention that it packs a whole lot more health boosting vitamins and minerals. Vitamin K has been shown to improve bone and joint health in addition to calcium and magnesium, which are also found in high amounts in spinach. It has a light refreshing flavor that blends well with other more flavourful fruits, so you can enjoy the benefits of fresh spinach juice even if you don’t like it on your dinner plate.
For centuries, ginger has been revered for its health properties which include its ability to both reduce swelling and relieve pain. Many recent studies have shown a promising future for ginger as a treatment for arthritic conditions.3 Someday it may be a leading remedy for pain relief in pill form, but the best way to get the most from ginger is by raw consumption. A little bit of this potent ingredient goes a long way, adding a flowery essence along with a spicy zip to your morning juice.
Certain tropical fruits such as pineapple and papaya contain the enzyme bromelain, a powerful nutrient that has shown promising results in relieving inflammation in clinical trials. In addition, they contain a healthy dose of vitamin C, an antioxidant that helps your body repair the damage done by inflammatory diseases. When consumed fresh in juice, this natural combo of nutrients work together to target pain and swelling. Also, these juices are a delicious treat that you’ll look forward to every day.
