We are back in the kitchen today and Eleni from Vasili's Garden is showing us a delicious chocolate smoothie bowl that will satisfy any sweet craving!
This recipe contains the meat of two young coconuts. Young coconuts are often available for purchase at farmers markets, health food stores or independent grocers. They are one of nature powerhouse foods and contain a range of healing properties as well as being a source of replenishing fluids and electrolytes.
She is also using a range of activated nuts. The reason for activating them (see recipe notes for how to do this) is because our digestive tract finds it hard to extract nutrients from uncooked nuts, grains and seeds. By cooking or soaking them prior to consumption, it releases any toxic substances and increases mineral, vitamin and protein content making it easier for body to absorb and digest.

The meat of two young coconuts
Handful each of activated* almonds, hazelnuts and cashews
1 tsp cinnamon
2 TBSP cacao powder
2 TBSP honey
1 cup coconut water, exact amount depends on your desired consistency
Simply add all the ingredients to your MOD Blend Pro;
Blend ingredients until smooth, adding more coconut water until desired consistency is reached.
*To activate your nuts, simply soak in water overnight.
