Achieving smooth, healthy, glowing skin is high up on the wish list of many of us. While we can always "fake it" with the plethora of foundations, BB creams, bronzers, and highlighting products, wouldn't it be wonderful if we could achieve a natural glow from within?
Skin products, you're thinking? Sure, there is a huge range of serums, creams, masks and more available to choose that claim to work to improve skin glow. Heck, most of us have a bathroom cabinet full of them. How will this help my skin glow?
Beetroot - is power-packed with nutrients such as zinc, potassium, iron, folic acid, manganese and vitamin C as well as the phytonutrient betalain. It helps to purify the blood, clear the complexion and even out your skin tone.
Orange - oozing with antioxidants, most significantly vitamin C, which plays a crucial role in fighting free radical activity (read, skin ageing).
Celery - an amazing anti-inflammatory food, celery is loaded with essential minerals and vitamins such as folate, potassium, vitamin B6, vitamin K and vitamin C. Many swear by celery's skin healing properties, saying that it helped clear up skin conditions like psoriasis and acne.
Carrot - is known to have rich anti-oxidants in them which aids in making the skin glow and look younger. Carrots are also known to contain a special kind of anti-oxidant called carotenoid. This antioxidant goes a long way to keep your skin glowing all the yearlong.
Cucumber - the water content of cucumber keeps skin dewy and moisturised. It is fantastic at flushing out toxins from your body and contains silica which enhances your complexion and glow.
